Glaucoma: February EyeWiki Update

Dear EyeWiki Editors,

Since January 1, 2024 we have added 67 new articles. We have also collectively edited 1549 articles since the start of the year out of our current 1672 articles.

2024 U.S. Residents & Fellows Contest: The deadline to enter this contest is Nov. 30, 2024. Encourage resident and fellows to enter. Both revised and new articles are eligible; however, new articles must go through an approval process, so submit requests for new article proposals at least 15 working days prior to the contest deadline to allow time for review. Only 42% or new article proposals are accepted, so revised articles are highly encouraged as contest entries. Entrants should review eligibility rules carefully.

Current Section Statistics: View the current status of each EyeWiki section. All EyeWiki Sections should be at least 60% up to date. Please visit your section Portal to review the status of your section and your assigned articles.

Glaucoma: November EyeWiki Update

Tip of the Month: What is the Purpose of a User Page?

  • The primary purpose of the user page is to describe who you are the others in the community.
  • Instead of listing affiliations and disclosers on each article, these items are included on each contributor's user page.
  • To view a contributor's user page, click on any name appearing in blue
  • To edit your own user page:
    • Login; click on your user name at the top right hand side of any page (next to the "Talk" icon)
    • Choose the "Edit with Form" link
    • Note: There is a free text area for additional information about yourself
    • To add your photo, first upload your image file to Eyewiki, then use the "Edit" link and choose "Insert"

Find Your Article Assignments

  • Log in and go to the My Portal link at the top of the page next to "Recent Changes"
  • To find your own article assignments, sort the article table by “Assigned Editor (portal member)” or use the filter
  • Also, find your article assignments on your Talk page between your Name (after logging in) and Preferences
  • Review the Quick-Start Guide for Editors for helpful tips. For easy reference, this guide is also linked to each section Portal page

Sign Off When You Have Finished an Article Review

  • When you complete an article review go to Edit with Form at the top of the article and change:
    • The date to be current
    • The status to Up to Date
    • The reviewer's name to your own (This is how we know which editor last reviewed an article assigned to more than 1 EyeWiki section)
