Ocular Ischemic Syndrome

Ocular ischemic syndrome (OIS) is a rare, but vision-threatening, condition associated with severe carotid artery occlusive disease (stenosis or occlusion) leading to ocular hypoperfusion. Principal symptoms include visual loss, light-induced transient visual loss, and ischemic ocular pain.
