Disease Entity
Idiopathic multifocal choroiditis (IMFC) is a spontaneously occurring inflammatory condition presenting with multiple lesions in the retinal and choroidal tissue. IMCP causes episodes of inflammation that can occur bilaterally, simultaneously or separately. In the past, this disease was described with other names such as punctate inner choroidopathy, multifocal choroiditis with panuveitis, and progressive subretinal fibrosis and uveitis syndrome. ^[1] However, IMFC is a unique disease from these other disease processes.
