Introduction

Clinicians are often called upon to care for patients with uncommon disorders, and they may lack guidance for how to optimize patient care.  Instead of simply reviewing an institution's few cases of a given disease, ophthalmologists using EyeWiki are encouraged to collaborate, pool data and perform statistical analyses to identify clinical features that may inform decision-making and improve patient care.

EyeWiki Discussion pages support conversations between EyeWiki users who would like to collaborate on research opportunities. Use Discussion pages to share findings with your fellow clinicians and solicit collaborators from other sites and academic centers. EyeWiki users can discuss potential trials or topics related to each respective original article on EyeWiki.

Discussion pages

  • Discussion pages, also known as Talk pages can be used to collaborate on articles by entering comment threads.
  • Comments can be added to Discussion (aka Talk) pages in any wiki page.
  • For example, see the article on Necrotizing fasciitis and its related discussion page.

Steps to add a comment

== Data pooling on Episcleritis ==

We have seen quite a few cases of [[Episcleritis]] recently. It looks like the literature hasn't defined how different clinical features impact outcomes. Would anyone like to pool data with my institution? Contact me at [Enter email or phone contact informmation]. Dan.Mummert.AAO (talk) 17:00, September 9, 2020 (PDT)
