Anterior segment optical coherence tomography for various ocular surface lesions and corneal pathologies
New imaging technologies have transformed the way ophthalmologists assess the anterior and posterior segment of the eye and have emerged as instrumental adjuncts to the clinical examination for the diagnosis and treatment of various ocular pathologies. Certain imaging modalities can be employed particularly for the ocular surface and anterior segment including corneal topography, Scheimpflug tomography, in vivo confocal microscopy, high-resolution ultrasound biomicroscopy and optical coherence tomography (OCT).
